Business SWOT

Here is a quick SWOT analysis of my hypothetical SPB business:

Strengths

• Specialising in one particular field to become as good as possible, but have some secondary fields to fall back on if need be
• Location not an issue, I’ll relocate
• Relatively few expenses
• Saving the client money and paperwork involved in hiring someone

Weaknesses

• Business relies heavily on one persons ability to produce good work
• Might need to move/travel a lot
• Can be exhausting
• Irregular income

Opportunities

• Becoming a better roto artist/compositor
• Learn new software
• Producing a better show reel
• Finding clients
• Different clients (hopefully) means diversity in work

Threats

• Competition
• “Dry spells”
• Software I’m not trained on
• Lack of experience and clients when starting out
