SWOT Analysis

SWOT Analysis

(Click the image for comprehensible version)

To say that I have a dislike for analysing myself would be like calling the sun hot. Add then, that I have to put the darn thing on the web for everyone to see and my misery is complete :-P Such an analysis was exactly the task we were set to create in one of the modules I started at Teesside University this year called Studio Practice & Business.

The SWOT was first made by jotting down bullet points in a text editor. In my last practical however, I was encouraged to make a more graphic presentation, hence the OmniGraffle mess :-)

To summarise I have been leading small projects before without it being a complete disaster (I hope), but enjoy the team player role more. I feel pretty confident at a standard 3D workflow involving modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering and to a certain extent compositing, but need to brush up on some post production skills as well as cinematography and composition. After university I would like to find a nice post production facility where I can have a fairly safe position and a steady income. I consider my biggest weakness/threat to be that I am not always the most confident person out there and that that in particular is something I should work on.

Now onto researching a business idea for the Studio Practice & Business ICA (In Course Assessment)…
