SWOT Analysis
(Click the image for comprehensible version)
To say that I have a dislike for analysing myself would be like calling the sun hot. Add then, that I have to put the darn thing on the web for everyone to see and my misery is complete
Such an analysis was exactly the task we were set to create in one of the modules I started at Teesside University this year called Studio Practice & Business.
The SWOT was first made by jotting down bullet points in a text editor. In my last practical however, I was encouraged to make a more graphic presentation, hence the OmniGraffle mess
To summarise I have been leading small projects before without it being a complete disaster (I hope), but enjoy the team player role more. I feel pretty confident at a standard 3D workflow involving modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering and to a certain extent compositing, but need to brush up on some post production skills as well as cinematography and composition. After university I would like to find a nice post production facility where I can have a fairly safe position and a steady income. I consider my biggest weakness/threat to be that I am not always the most confident person out there and that that in particular is something I should work on.
Now onto researching a business idea for the Studio Practice & Business ICA (In Course Assessment)…
