Character design
Started my third big project this monday: Character design. Basically we have to come up with a character including backstory and then model, texture, rig and animate it, as well as light it. As this is our first character project, it’s a bit light on the animation. In four weeks, we have to create a walk cycle and three images where the character is posing. Yup. That means working through the easter holiday.
What I’ve done so far is to decide on a character and started modeling. Still in the early stages I’ve made one prop, prepared the character podium given as a part of the assignment and started modeling the character itself. I think ‘ll go for V-Ray on this one.
Two WIPs:
As my character is outdoors a lot, my first idea was to put it in an outdoor setting. Might change/enhance it later. Might not.
